A dragon with psychedelic glands! Rather than fire, this drake breathes opiate. Roars what sounds like Radiohead, exhales the high of your life, then gobbles you as you laugh incessantly at how big your hands are. Best not to engage combat before employee drug testing.

exceptional work...but i dont think you need that eye on the head...might look a little cleaner w/o it

To start, I had given the dragon multiple eyes, but stripped them after deciding their inclusion obscured the design's sympathetic value. Emotions are most visible from the eyes, and organisms such as arachnids that are polyommatous appear emotively illegible.

Looking at it now, I agree with your suggestion. I suppose I never resolved whether I was constructing a character or a monster.

thank you for such a detailed answer, i personally think it is more of a monster, which would be consistent with what i consider your style...but thats just me

Your work is beautiful. It all looks like it came out of 19th century botany fieldbooks, except from another planet or under some kind of wicked influence... and I can't figure out how you construct them. They seem like etchings that are then watercolored, but I just can't pinpoint it. Awesome work, as always!

... It's like a demonized Fu Dog, you know, a motif commonly portrayed in china i.e. ceramic, sometimes transfigured into a vessel. I like the demonic aesthetic.
