The tact of the composition, the placement of the figure with regard to negative space, the formal hierarchy and the synthesis of the varied, disparate and only loosely related componential elements into the subject creates a pleasing, harmonious gestalt. The oddity of the subject matter creates intrigue. Then the attention to content holds one further.

this leviathan deserves no comment other than a complete and systematic condemnation of its unnerving avarice! the bastard hoards three natures while I hardly have one! and even its three is split thrice!
first we have the gluttony of appendages, a full collection of fish fins, butterfly wings, and bird feathers. and then the snake skins, and then I didn't feel like commenting anymore!
